Little California pt1

The Little California section on the Rovana is a 500metre long section of granite bedrock slides and drops. So called as its very reminiscant of some High Seirra runs in California.

Hiking in down the step path along the river bank to get some pics all I kept getting was distant shouts from the boys and sneaky glimpses like these. Matt Tidy gets through.

 Santi in the middle
Andy Iley keeping up with the boys.

And then I found I could scrabble down to river level. Jakub Sedviy almost in focus.

 Entrance rapid.

Overveiw on the first slide of the main section. Alot steeper and bigger than it looks.

Ticino - Round 1

Balls. A flying start. Verzasca 1, me 0.   One shoulder relocated on the riverbank.

Ticino is the Italian speaking part of Switzerland and its lovely.

The Rovana is a granite bedrock run class 4 and 5/5+.

Next Up:The  "Little California" Section of the Rovana.
