Flash back.

Borrowing the Flash-back theme from Elbry these photos have come to light. A trip to the whitewater kayaing paradise of Val Sesia in Peidmont Northern Italy from back in 2006. My second trip out there.

Part of the team l-r Ewart, Mike, Simon, Roger. At the put in for the middle Semenza. a long grade 4/5 section with some hard drops and tight lines. Amzing clear water and smooth granite bed rock.

Lower Semenza Gorge. Run in conjunction it makes for solid 4-5 hr trip the forst time down. get used to inspecting from the bank

 Roger hits the boof.

You may have seen this before. The last drop on the lower Sorba. This was my 28th birthday.

Very last rapid for the Semenzino (little Semenza). The Upper reaches of the Semenza are even steeper than the middle. The highlight of the area.

Gronda Race course at a fair bit more than "tourist flows"

Flying! Its not normally brown but very clear. Ace!

Sorba Slides. Walk back up and run them again and again.

Some where in Switzerland, possibly the Ribo or the Cannabino?

The Ribo canyon. Opps, ran the portage blind by accident resulting in a bit of action for the others trying to replicate my sucsessful line. Despite not swiming myself I bought the beers that day.

Verscaca, Ticino Switzerland just across the boarder from Piedmont. Amazing rock formations with lots of marble streaks running through it. Back out there this year for the 4th time. Including a DJ set at the val Sesia river festival. My 2nd internatioanl booking. Sweet!
