Work Photos.

Not a lot happening at 3b towers. Shoulder injury recovery is very slow. Still no date for surgery.

So have a few pics to flick through. Just a random selection from the work hard drive.

Ollie at the back. Me at the front.

Mitch and Jemma take a wooden canoe for a quick spin in the canal basin. This was the maiden voyage. The boat was built that day at the South West Canoe Show 2012.

Amber and Emma enjoy a Malibu 2 at Teignmouth a few summers ago. Sit on top fun for everyone.

More paddlers enjoying the free demos at the SWCS.

Go camping, fill your hatch with gear and off you go. Pyranha Fusion river tour kayaks are great for general adventuring.

Nice sunrise at the quay.

Still here!

Yeah, its been a while. Still here though. Shoulder is giving me major issues again, Im one ht list for a second lot of surgery. This time a bone graft from my hip to my shoulder to rebuild the socket and a ew other tightening procedures. This should be just about into the new year., it will put me back off the bike for about 8 weeks at the very least and out of a boat for at least 6 months, more like 8-10. Not sure if I'm physked or not.Pretty much in total I will have been out of a boat for about a year by the time we are all said and done. If the op goes well and I smash my rehab its all good. But its tricky surgery and at present Im not that positive about it all.

But in the meen time...... Its on with roady life. Still holding out on the lycra though and trying to get wheels muddy where possible.
Now on mapmyride to keep it all logged and help with the incentives.

Will keep ya'll all posted.

Had a couple hours free for a cruise today. http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/150027521

In the shops Oct 2012.

Yak Adventure equipment at Paddle Expo 2012

The Guys at Yak asked me to come over to play some tunes at their aftershow party which was very nice of them. Loads of free beer for every one!

Free beer!

The 2012 / 2013 range was on display, this is new Zero cag (red and black).2.5 layer breathable fabric, latex neck and wrists, twin chest pockets, twin waist, great active cut. All round greatness!

Yes, this is the set up for me! Updated Descent pfd. Still the best value river running pfd on the market. £94.95 for a full chest harness pfd, 70ns of float, massive pocket, fully stitched shoulder straps, the ability to make a sit harness.... Everything you need for tough white water.  (disclaimer, I am biased about this pfd as I had a hand in testing an developing the model. So what, its great and a total bargin!)

Brand Manager Pete Ford working late.

Kanumesse / paddle Expo 2012 part 1.

So I just got back from a trip to Germany (last week actually) and a visit to the Kanumesse and Paddle Expo trade show in Nuremburg. This is Europes and really the worlds biggest paddlesports trade show. See all the latest and greatest bits and pieces for 2013, maybe pick up some new brands or lines and generally mooch about trying to blag  freebies!

There was some very cool bits and peices and lots of the same old crap.

I couldn't get enough of this lot, Vacum infused carbon and cork laminate kayaks. Sooo shiney. Wouldn't fancy busting one, the top model was about 4000 euro.

New Dry cags and drysuits from Kokatat. This bright little number is the Eric and Dane Jackson designed limited edition suit. Available to pre-order at A.S watersports www.aswatersports.co.uk

Ant Perkins of System X andjeff from Kokatat.

Scandanavian cool and minimalisum from Sweet Protection.

 Above, Just stuff.

The Tootega Team, minus the boss Steve!

Tiderace sea kayaks. The stand was busy for the two days I was there......

Could this be my new boat? wavesport Recon. One of the few new Creek boats on show.

New 2013 Palm gear looking pretty rad TBH. Fuse jackets, Neon pants and FX pfds stealing the show on the Palm stand.

Ben Hall giving me the low down on the Ion bib.

Drop seat on the ladies one piece thermals.

Core 1,2 and 4?

Dagger Jitsu. new playboat from Dagger. First one in 3 years? Looks good.

Where would we be with out sit on tops. yes, there was lots of rubbish but I quite like this one. Simple but very useable and a much more touring shape than others. Should sell well.

More to come in part 2.   Yak Adventure equipments new range. yeehaa!

Its Show Time!!

Oh yes, nearly that time of year again. Exeter gears up to host the UK's largest free paddling show. New products, boats, paddles and kit. A chance to demo boats for free, meet hundreds of like minded people, check out new holiday destinations and trips. Take part in practical workshops or just sit back and watch a film or talk about someone else's trip.
