Heart and Soul.

Just one of many Vandal tees that get me motivated to ride. This ones the Heart and Soul tee.

Mid build.

We are getting there. Waiting on my new back wheel. The frame came with a Sun Ringle "Jumping flea" hub. Over £200.00's worth. The single ring chain device didnt fit my dual ring crank set (even though I only run 1 ring) So a new CD as well. A telescopic seat tube and saddle and job done!
Just a few more months before i can rag it down anything that will get it going.

Burning trail love.

Brambles don't burn that well.

I've been up to the Mafia to start breaking ground for the pump track. Some say I should finish the dual track first but heho.

I much prefer this type of gardening. We were careful about the bracken though after last year when we nearly caught the barn on fire!

This doesn't really show how big the brambles are. Some are over 6 feet tall.

Thats the way to do it. Nice and clear.

Some willted Daffs left after the blaze! Just shows how dry every thing else was. Perfect for burning.

More teasers

Mmmm, lots of wood cut up for shore building. There's loads of it and just next to the road.

Expertly built but poorly placed landing for the stream jump. As this is on a corner the stream is gradually under cutting the landing as you can see at the right of the wood.. The landing is on the inside of the bend where the water is slowest, leaving a deposit of small stones. This forces the water even wider to the outside of the bend where the take off is. As it goes wider the bank is being under cut. The take off ramp now has at least 6inches of over hanging bank underneath it. How long it will last I'm not sure.

Sam railing the last big berm. As you can see it is again very well made.

Now, there's a clue haha! Not too far from Okehampton or Exeter...Unfortunately the rest of the pics wern't that good. Lots more trees down so more work needed than previously thought. This might need a team effort to get riding from top to bottom.

A new ride joins the 3bsports fleet.

Oohh, what is it?
Yup after much diliberation and checking the finance I settled on this new toy. I really wanted to get a Nicolai frame from Germany but with the weak pound it was just out of my price range and with very poor help from any UK shops it didn't happen.
So a bit of searching I came across this thanks to my personal shopper Kirkpatrick.

It has adjustable rear drop outs... and a nice but not to big 7 inches of travel. It corners well, or so I'm told.

It's a Commencal Supreme DH (07 i think). Still it was in my price range and most of my components should fit. Keep it tuned to 3bsports for build in progress.
